Have you ever felt like there was a campground created just for YOU in a desperate time of need?
We’ve traveled all over the USA with our RV and a few years ago, we found ourselves in a pickle. We had a mechanical issue while on the road that caused a major delay in our pace and travel schedule for that trip. After the roadside repair, we realized we couldn’t make it to our destination — it was late and we were scrambling to try to find a place for the night and regroup.
After searching the region, we happened to find an open site for the night that was so perfect- wide open pull-thru sites that could accommodate our rig and truck and boat and it was close to the interstate. I can still remember pulling in that night and the relief I felt. I call it the “God’s Campground” because I believe God created it for us in our time of need.
A year or so later, we had a flat tire on our boat (we travel separately), and we were 2 hours from that SAME campground. I knew if I could just get there, everything would be fine, so I went on ahead with the camper while my husband stayed and fixed the tire. It’s crazy how this random RV park has been such a place of restoration for us during some crazy travel situations.
We have stayed there several more times and I always reflect back and smile. RV life creates so many memories and stories.
